Today was a great day for church, it is so awesome when you go to church prepared ready to worship. Bro. Daren Kincaid preached an awesome message, by the time it was over it seemed like he had just started preaching. My Sunday School lesson went pretty cool, I have the kids learning Spanish, we are studying the 12 apostles. Not only knowing who they are, but where in the bible they are talked about, & what is said about them. I teach them also words in Spanish having to do with the lesson. Today we are on Judas Iscariot, but I didn't get through the lesson, I got to do about half of it, which is cool, I just pray the kids will remember something that has been taught about the bible, I pray it stays with them. We had a fellowship after church, which was great, but sometimes it gets me mad that some people don't stay to clean, but I guess that is everywhere. I went outside after I ate, & picked up my mess. I was throwing the football with the boys, you know spend some time with them. Then went home to see the Dallas Cowboys Blow it completely, they had to win to get into the playoffs. Then off to church again which was awesome again, Laura got to sing with her cousin Katelyn ( I hope I spelled that right, he he). We had fellowship afterwards at Jason's Deli, oh yeah we got to see the Jamison's again, they stood firm on the Word of God at another church where we used to go, they are really good friends of our, so I invited them to go fellowship with us. There we caught up with Victory Baptist church they were having supper or dinner whatever you want to call it, they are cool with us they shake hands, & even hug us when we see them. Then we finish dinner or supper whatever, & we part our different ways to retreat to our homes. This feels so weird like the ending of a Doogie Howser episode, I think he used to have a diary at the end of the show, cept I don't want Vinnie coming in through the window in the middle of the night, he looks like a teenage vampire, turns out he was much older than his character. Sorry bunch of useless information. That was my Sunday what can you add to this day. Oh yeah Luz gave us a pecan pie that was great after dinner, supper, whatever.

"The Look"

Well my wife says I give her “The Look”, & man she gets mad when I do, I don’t realize I do it. The other day we went to do some Christmas shopping, & we left the Kiddos with my parents. When we went to pick them up my mom was telling us something about my dad, & my dad gave her “The Look”, I thought nothing of it, but when we were on our way home my wife asked me if I saw “The Look” my dad gave my mom. I told her I saw it, but thought nothing of it. I guess it is obvious when someone gets ‘The Look”. We used to joke around with the Yanez Family when John would do it to Melinda, We would tell Melinda, ”Eww you got “The Look” then we would laugh it off it was so funny. I am trying not to give “The Look”, but it comes so natural to me, hehe, but I realize it makes some people feel dumb, or just embarrassed or just scared, hehe. Have you been a victim of “The Look” or are you the one that gives “The Look” Don’t be Scared, hehe.

God is still in the miracle business

Well what can I say but, Thank the Lord Jesus for everything HE has done in my life and the people he puts in my way. I got to preach yesterday in Spanish, which was way cool, I, with the help of the LORD of course, preached on Salvation, on the Romans road, but everything went fine, I think, I got to present the Gospel loud and clear, especially to my father, he didn’t make a profession of faith, but I know God stirred his heart, he had tears coming down his face, this is my father who I have seen cry like only once in my life when our Aunt passed away; she was the one the he grew up with. My dad gave me a kiss, & a really tight & long hug, & he looks at me & tells me to keep doing what I am doing to keep going forth for Jesus. This is really cool every man wants to make their daddy proud. I felt like a little kid. My mother asked when I would preach again I told her I didn’t know I had to talk to my pastor about it. I didn’t get as nervous as I thought I would, I was nervous alright, right before I went up there, preaching Gods word correctly is not something to be taking lightly. Lucy brought her parents which was so cool, she looked proud out there with her mommy & daddy. Just about everyone that was a member of the church was there. I want to thank my wife for being so supportive, & helpful with everything, also in prayer, Bro. Carlos Gutierrez for leading the singing, Mrs. Kim Laiklam for playing the piano even though she didn’t understand a word we were saying, & Pastor for allowing me to preach at his church. To my boys for behaving, I preached David to sleep, which is how excited he was, he he, & Mike, my dear Mike, for greeting people, & picking up the hymnals & bible afterwards. It was such a good day yesterday. Even though the Dallas cowboys lost, being such a cowboys fan, I would rather be in the house of my loving Father God anytime. God is still working miracles, my dad came to church which is so awesome. I want to thank Sis. Pat for everything she has done, she provided Spanish hymnals & Spanish bibles, which also Bro. Carlos & Sis. Sharon Kenamore provided, thank You. God is so good.

What are you 4 & 1/2?

Today I called my wife from work to see how things were going, & I just wanted to hear her voice, & she told me she was cleaning out the boy’s closet. I’m thinking uh oh glad I’m not home. Then she starts telling me about David our 5 yr old. First he won't wear any cartoon character shirts to school, because he says they make fun of him, which I was telling J the other day & J said “what are you 4 ½.” It was funny well this morning David has a jacket that Mike our 12 yr old used to wear, yes a hand me down, well it has all the Mickey Mouse & the gang playing football, but he will not wear it because his friends will sit in back of him, & will see it. LOL, My wife starts to tell me that David thinks he is so cool or what. She is waiting for me to tell her to tell David to wear it, so she said she was going to give away the jacket, but David said no he will wear around the house. Too funny he always wears cartoon character shirts, but no Mickey Mouse please, LOL. Only around the house. I don’t know what to tell this kid if he wants to freeze then so be it, he has other windbreakers, but are very thin, but it has the Dallas Cowboys Logo on it so he will wear that. Just thought I would share a little humor about David.

1565

1565 miles of highways & bi ways on the way to Oklahoma City, from Harlingen, TX. We took off Wednesday night about 6:30 PM it was a long ride we got there about 7:30 AM Friday morning nonstop driving a few stops, we were traveling with kids. But the road seemed like it wasn't that long of a drive. We had so much fun over there it seemed like it was such a few days time went by really fast. I was towing a dolly to pick up Mater my new old truck, 1963 Chevy. These miles put my truck over the 35,000 mile mark for the factory warranty, but it is a good thing we got the extended warranty. The trip was even way better on the way back so much happened on the road, but what I will remember the most is when my & my wife were really engaged in this deep conversation actually talking I never really talk, just grunt, he he. But it was cool I just kept thinking in my head this is so cool, I was a little worried about the dolly because the frame on the dolly was a bit off & the weight of the truck was a lot, & it was eating up the side wall the wires were showing, but we made it home safely, thanks to you guys who were praying for us.

Church Bus

That little yellow thing behind this compressor or vacuum is the thermostat housing, that is what I have to take out & replace.
Here is the engine from the rear view, I had to go through there to get to the bolts on the vacuums. The bolts never came out, so I had the church buy a saws all to cut them out, but when I did I hit a water hose, so there is something else I have to fix.
Good news is that when Abel gets back from his trip out of town for work, he said he would help me on Saturdays to get this bus running again.

Wallbangers in Corpus Christi

I know one thing J will notice in this picture, this is when we went to Alice, Tx to see the Yanez Family. And yes we had to go to Wallbangers, but I can honestly say the one in Mcallen, is better, maybe cuz I'm always there. This one felt a little smaller though. Yes the order was 1Pound burger with American cheese & bacon, cut in half of course to share with the wife.
