Iwo Jima (Mexican Style)

Today we painted preacher house it was fun out there. We just couldn't reach a certain peak on the house so my wife had a bright idea of getting a table to put the the ladder on to reach the spot. It worked but we did totally look like all Mojo. He he we finished it though. Thanks to Laura for taking this picture. We had a paint fight @ the end of the night.

Kitchen

This is our little kitchen it is finally finished, but my wife is still selecting some curtains, he he She is a baseball practice with the boys so I decided to snap some photos, sorry baby.

She has the apple theme going on in there, the microwave doesn't go there but I have our dining table is in there so I had to put the micro on the counter.

Did all the trim by hand, cut it by hand I mean, this is where the micro goes, but since i have no room in my work area the living room I had to stick the table in here,

Another light Up

I had to cut out some more wood to get to the ceiling so I could put the light & the insulation.

Motion Sensor light is up, 1 bulb to the truck the other to the back yard.

My Boots

Today I woke up this morning like any other all tired drained from the weekend. But off to work it is, As I tried to put on my boots this morning I was having trouble cuz I have replaced the insoles of my boots because they were all gone already. I have had these boots for about 3 years or so they are my work boots, but became my going out boots also. Any way I know I don't have money to but the boots I want which happen to be RedWing's. I just prayed & told God I never really ask for anything for my self I always want stuff for my wife & kids, but I sure wish I had a new pair of boots, can you believe it I just was talking to God this morning isnt He awsome. My wife called me to work today to see how my day was goig I told her that just to pray for me, I got some stuff going on @ work, to just pray. Then she asked if it was cool if she went to lunch with her sister Debbie, which I said cool I don't care. Then she tells me she bought me something for when I get home, I told her cool, all cool(but in the back of my head I got a little excited). Then I get home & I see this box of Redwings, man I wanted to cry, but then I thought wait a minute are they for me. So I called my wife to see if they were mine or the Sancho(Boyfriend in Spanish hehe), so she tells me " I Guess if you want them you can have them". She said she heard me this morning having a hard time putting them on, Man right in the heart, LOVE YOU, BABY. Thank You Lord. Just thought I would tell you my story about lunch today gotta go back to work, Love you Guys.

P.S. I felt like blogging this, so you guys would pray for my boots, but I felt really stupid so I didn't want to bother you guys.

I Saw The Light

This is the light fixture DD chose for the outside of our house, I put that one in & the outlet for Christmas lights & stuff or when I am working out side.

Under Destruction

No time to blog guys house is under destruction, no electrical, no insulation, but I am working on it. Thank God for giving the answer how to start this I was so overwhelmed. I am glad to say Kitchen is done will post pictures later, SORRY baby, My wife is gonna kill me for putting these pictures up, but I will be @ work, he he. I was up in the attic, yes me my attic is so small, & if you know me I am not a little guy, I couldn't really breathe up there. If you are claustrophobic then the attic is not for you, he he. Till I blog again see yah.

Real Quick

Real quick I want to blog something that has been on my mind since I last blogged, I will be leaving to my Parents house in a little bit to eat dinner. Oh yeah I was thinking about shoes, the shoes my dad got me, & preacher preached on something about shoes I don't remember what. Well I was thinking of the shoes he got me @ H-E-B, yes H-E-B. I once was asking him for some converse shoes the old school ones high top and all. Well we went to buy groceries one day & they had a bin full of shoes for 5 bucks each pair, & my dad asked me if these were the shoes I was asking for. I told him well kinda that they looked like those but were not the same thing, they were imitations. So he said they are the same thing & he bought them for me I was so embarrassed to wear them , but I wore them because he bought them for me within 2 weeks I kid you not those things just came apart it was so funny good thing it happened @ home instead of school. After that he said he would buy me the real thing I never got them though. When I went to get my first brand name shoes I got some shoes called L.A. Gear they were the in thing when I was in Jr high, then I moved up to another brand called British Knights, & I wasn't even British, then Adidas black & white of course, then Reebok, then Nike Air they had to Air, he he. I don't know where this blog is going I am just rambling on OK. Then in High school tennis shoes of course, but got my first pair of Red Wing boots oh wait I don't even remember if they were red wings they were the brown ones everyone was wearing, man I cant remember the name of them, yeah I think they were red wings, anyway enough about shoes & boots maybe it might make you go shopping, laters

Box Fan

Last night I got like 3 hrs of sleep the Lord had me praying all night yet I didn't wake up tired. I prayed for everyone I could think of, so you guys were in my prayers last night. As I lay there it was kinda hot & I didn't want to turn on the A/C cause my wife gets cold. I thought of the humming of the Box Fan going took me back to the days when I was growing up. We used to live out in the country & that was when we would sleep with the windows open . Our front door for some reason, some one gave my dad a sliding glass door so he put it in the front door. I used to sleep on the top bunk till I was a teenager, then I used to sleep on a cot in the kitchen slash living room. Well I used to sleep with the sliding door open I would just leave the screen door open, with no worries of anyone coming in it was weird now that I think about it. My dad would leave his car open all the time with the keys in it, I think he still does. We moved into a really small house my dad was building with only one real bedroom. We would stay in this house, & it only had that black tarp paper the one that they use on the roof. My dad wrapped the house in this stuff, but we had windows, hehe. There was nothing really keeping anyone from tearing a hole & coming in the house. I would lie there in the silence of the night listening to the night birds whistling really nice & echo like crazy. The night was so still I could hear the cars passing on the main road. I remember my dad would bring home $120 dollar check for the week I don't know how we made it back then I was in Jr High. My dad build that house with his sweat I guess that is where I get all my ability to just do it, even if I have never done it before, like fix the house, the cars, plumbing, electrical, all that good stuff that makes me feel good when I finish doing something. I Have to give my dad credit for giving me the example of being a hard worker. I know we didn't have much money, but my dad would takes us out to eat every Friday, which was payday. We would love to go to Peter Piper Pizza it was my favorite growing up. I remember when my dad would buy me brand name shoes so I can have something nice, even if it meant for them to be broke the rest of the week, I was a spoiled brat. My dad never let us go without anything . I remember we had no electricity, & when he would get up in the mornings to go to work he would hook up a car light bulb to his car, & that was the light my mom had in the kitchen when she made him breakfast & lunch for the day. I remember having to take a shower with cold water, because I didn't want to wait for my mom to boil me some water. Those were the good ol days, man I thank God for all the little things I have in my life, my family & I are so blessed. I remember my dad had no radio in his car he had a am/fm radio he would put batteries in, it was so small it had 1 speaker only. We had a battery alarm clock to get us up in the morning, to get ready for school. We would only get one change of new cloth per school year, we would have to recycle the cloth from the year before. I would try to mix & match all the option I had with the new shirt or new pants, weird huh. We have come a long way & sometimes people say they have it bad, pffft, is what I say. All we do in this world is want & want never get enough. Never happy always wanting. I am glad for my house I am tired of fixing it , but when I am done I can sit back & enjoy a cold cold, Gatorade. I have failed God in that , in being a good steward, & taking care of the house & yard he gave me Sorry God, I will do better with things you give me. That is all that is in my head for tonight, Night all, Lots of Love for you all.

The other day I was getting upset @ the boys for always stalling before going to bed. The boys have a bed time @ 9PM on Mon-Thurs, but it seems they end up going to bed till 11 PM. Mike has a habit of coming to the living room putting away his glasses on the entertainment center so he wont forget them for school the next day. Then he will remember he has to take a shower, & then he will bring his shoes to the living room. The David gets up in his tidy whites or lighting McQueen under wares, he gets up to take a drink of water or a drink of milk, or sometimes he just takes a swig out of the half gallon jug of milk. Then they have to kiss us goodnight, because if they forget they will get up in the middle of the night to kiss us goodnight. It used to bug me because I just thought they were stalling to go to bed, but then I got to thinking, Man what if they stop giving me those kisses goodnight I would miss them so much. I love my boys so much I love it that they still call me "daddy" some day it will just be "dad". Till that day I will take all they will give me, I know they love me they hug me all the time & kiss me on the cheek all the time. When I drop off Johnny @ his house he always gives me a kiss on the cheek & says "Bye Daddy I Love You" & I always say "I Love You Baby, & Behave". The other day I walked over to the boys room to check on them like I always do & so does my Wife. I covered them up, & then when I covered Johnny he looks @ me & says "I Love You Daddy", Oh man right in the heart, So I say to those goodnight Kisses bring them on I will take them all the time that I can. Night All

Whats Up?

Yo, it has been a while since I blogged just thought I would drop a line, he he. We have been really busy & all with the boys both in baseball & church activities so little time. I have been doing some remodeling @ the house the dining room is all tore up with no sheet rock. I worked on my wife's car today got the door handle fixed in the front inside, but the rear outside door handle is tough especially with my man hands. Who designs these parts? How small do you have to be to work inside a door from a car it is so much trouble. I have a solution though I have a saws all at work that will help me get access to the part that I need. We had a praising service last night at church it was pretty cool, people just testifying on what Jesus has done for them. I had never been in a service like that. Work has been steady not too busy though.@ work we are done with the girl scout Cookies & about to finish with the phone books. Life is just passing us by like nothing I hope you have done something for God. It just seems like not enough hours in the day to get things done, I need to take a couple of days off to work on the house but I have been stalling. I really want to finish the house, but I don't want to use my vacation days to work on the house, but I will do what I have to do. Today I wanted to be with my honey for lunch , she had other plans , but she changed them, thank you baby. My house is a mess right now I feel ridiculously so overwhelmed with work. The strong wind blew off some of my shingles from the roof, bummer. I need to finish the Kitchen 1 more window to trim & set up the pane & I am done with the kitchen. I have not started the living room, just put trim around the huge A/C unit I have in the wall to make it a little fancy. I still have to do all the floors lay down Masonite then some tile then base board trim then there is one window to trim in the living room. Then I have to start the dining area where my wife took out the Sheetrock & we found a surprise, it used to be a porch they just enclosed it so it is all messed up. I have to put in a new door & a window then lay down Masonite & tile then all the trim around windows & door. Oh I forgot I have to put wiring in the new dining area it has no electricity so I have to run some wire & install all new outlets & light fixture. Not done yet I have to put on some shingles in the roof I haven't checked to see if my home owners insurance covers it. Then my wife wants me to install 2 yes 2 washers in the shed that is about to fall out back. She thinks this will help her do laundry more quickly, so I told her I would do it, so I have to run water lines & electricity to the other side of the shed too. I still haven't washed my truck or car in a while well the car mainly I have put it off so long. My truck is dirty inside haven't had a chance to vacuum it. Just pray for me I feel a little over whelmed, sorry to pour out so much & making this go on & on but I had to vent it out. I am trying to work on the house & car after work but it seems like I will never catch up, maybe with the time change I will have more daylight to work with, but remember the funds can only go so far. Well I am turning in already tonight due to the fact that I am really exhausted, but I cant let my family know how I feel I have to show the boys to keep going forward in life. I was fixing the kitchen when Mike was in there & I told him "You see all this that daddy is doing to the house, You better go to college, you better get an education, and buy yourself a a decent house that it wont take up your time & if it does you better know how to fix it." He just smiles & walks away & says "OK, Daddy", not a care in the world, to be young again with no responsibilities "DEEP SIGH" Laters till I write again my dear friends & fellow bloggers keep in touch don't be strangers, & remember me in your prayers I will greatly appreciate it.
