Being Attacked

Just when you think everything is going right the devil attacks. Please pray for our church seems the devil is attacking our homes. The devil won't fight you if your not doing nothing for God. Please pray for our church families. Really need your prayers.

Praise Jesus

Visitation this Saturday was such a blessing, 20 people, yes 20 came on visitation. Help me Jesus, I get all choked up to see people, serving God. We took the bus for a run this Saturday Bro Carlos G drove it. Families & teenager showed up all to visit, & invite people to church it was awesome , Thank you Jesus. Bro Tony & all his family showed up, So did Bro Carlos G & all his family, Bro Carlos C & Lucy, Pastor Mark & sis Kim, Me & my family, Sis Pat M, Sis Debbie & her kids. It was so emotional I couldn't describe how I felt. I wanted to hug everyone, I am so glad to be saved, & thank Jesus for it. Thank you for my church Lord I will be praying for everyone @ church, just for Lord to keep blessing us in what we do. Then we went to eat @ Platillos, it was good food, & good fellowship. We have a good group @ church , they just want to serve GOD. Pray for them to stay strong in the Lord. Later that night we showed a movie for the teens , but everyone was welcomed to come, we had a full house, it was a blessing. Facing the Giants was the movie, it is a good christian value movie , about a football team, it was just great. We had pizza & fellowship, just like baptist we can't stop eating, I mean fellowshipping.

Remember

People seem to be losing the buzz to blog, no one seems interested anymore, just my opinion, I could be wrong. So here goes nothing. It seems that we spend a lot of time on the net, and not enough time with the ones we love. An actual person is better than the net. Nothing beats talking to the ones we love, & love us back. I have been guilty of spending to much time on the net, & forgetting about my wife. I love my wife & want to be her man, & I want to be the one she talks too. I want to talk her, & she is an excellent listener, I on there other hand I am not. Sorry my love, I love you. It has been fun lately, holding hands, little kiss here & there, I love it. Don't it make you sick! (too bad! lol) I love her & I need her to be the wife God has giving to me. But I have to be the man that God wants me to be. I am the man of the house & I have to prove to her that I can take care of her. To give her the security she needs, to feel secure around me. I want to give her that comfort of being a Godly wife. I have to man up & not depend on her to carry the family, to be a leader, the home needs a man to be a leader. Momma, she does everything for me, yet I forget to thank her, so thanks baby. She does so much around the house, she makes it so easy for me, I feel like royalty. But I must not forget to return the favor, she is my queen. I must do it because I want to, things are just better when you do them with love, they are more appreciated. So baby I am sorry for all the times I have been a jerk to you, or have embarrassed you , I have a habit of doing that, but she plays it off cool. UNTIL WE GET HOME. he he. She doesn't deserve to be treated like that, men remember why you fell in love or how you fell in love. Remember when........ She would walk in the room & man she would light you up with her smile, remember when you just wanted to see her, or when you just wanted to hear her voice. Remember when, do it , do it again like you used to. By no means, am I the perfect man, but I want to be the perfect man for my wife. "Remember."

Were Cool

The young man that got all mad @ me a couple of days ago, because of no work, came in to the office today to ask for his check, so I gave it to him no big deal. He looks @ me & tells me he is sorry for getting mad ,& the way he talked to me, & the way he acted. He asked me to forgive him, man it broke my heart I thought he was going to cry, but he made it through, & said what he had to say. So I said it's going to be fine, we will get some work, I said I accepted his apology & he was a man to man up for what he did. He then extended his hand towards me, & we shook hands. And that was that. As he is walking out of the office he asks me if we were cool, so I said "Were Cool". That made my day much better. He said he understood, that I had to do what our boss tells me what to do.huh. Laters. Prayer works, keep praying

Pray for more work

Today @ work I had a young man at work, making comments that I don't put him on the Schedule. He kept mentioning another guys name, that this guy was on the schedule more than he was. He was in front of many workers & making indirect pop shots @ me. So I went to talk to him after he got out of the office, & confronted him & told him if he had anything to say to me not to be a coward, & take indirect shots @ me , because I don't play like that. This kid is about 18, out of school, does whatever he wants, stays out all night drinking, comes to work all hung over. Well first of all, there isn't any work, so pray for work, a bunch of workers are getting mad because they don't have hours for the week. Our work is seasonal, we make all our money over the summer, but after summer work gets really slow. The guys get mad & start murmuring, and they think I am the one not wanting to work them. I have been instructed to give work to certain people who have families first, then the youngsters who have no real bills to pay. I tried to explain this to him, but he got loud, so I just said what I had to say. Then the boss' son heard, & asked what was going on with this guys, so I told him & the next thing I know the boss asked me what was going on as well. This guy is sent home already , but he comes back into the office to talk to the boss about something. That is when it gets loud in his office. I just go about my business. Then this guy walks out of the office teary eyed & at that same moment the warehouseman is asking for help for tomorrow. So I tell him there's this guy, he gives him a look & says OK I guess. After that, my boss told me that he told this guy he needs to respect his authority, that if he was going to have attitude he could go find another job and that we are doing the best we can, we put people on rotation for the hour when there is not enough work. I was all shaking, because this little kid was giving me attitude, & my blood boils real fast. But I did manage to keep my testimony (thank God) because I didn't want to lost it in front of these people. When they put me in the office these guys thought that I was going to be their buddy & that they could do whatever they wanted. I can't be there buddy, I am their supervisor, people didn't like me much before because I wouldn't drink with them. But they respected me for it. I know they say stuff behind my back, but I don't care, I let Jesus take care of that. There is this older man who has been with the company for like 40 years or something, I like to tell him he helped Noah move the ark, or helped Moses move the 10 commandments. GET IT WE'RE A MOVING COMPANY. Anyway I can joke around with this man, he used to give me such a hard time when I first started. You know what? I prayed and prayed for him, & I know God moved his heart, because I got along with him just fine. Even before I started working in the office. Prayer works. So pray for our company for work, which means more tithe, pray for the young man he is lost, pray for me to be a testimony. That is how my day ended today, but you know what, I went to revival @ Central Baptist Church, & it was good, it blessed my heart, and it lifted my spirits. Just when you think you are @ the bottom, Jesus is there to lift you up. Amen. By the way, revival will be going on until Friday. It starts at 6:30, at Central Baptist Church.

Church

Today was an awesome day @ church. I got the teenager more involved with the lesson. Then preacher preached on Daniel & prayer. But before that the ladies(Preachers Wife, Gramma, & Carolina Sweetheart) sang a beautiful song of a wall of prayer. Man that was good. Spirit moving in the service today. After the services preacher wanted the all the children & teenagers to go to the front pews. They all went the adults gathered around them to pray over them, it was nice. Then we went to drop of Johnny @ his house. When we got home mama is washing clothes & I made lunch. (Reheated in micro the leftovers from yesterday.he he). Waiting for the Dallas Cowboys game @ 3, but it is on fox, have to go to my mother in laws house, she has cable. I will show up around 3 tell her I missed her, even though I just saw her @ church. Then go to the living room to watch what is on TV.he he. Laters

1 john 5: 14

As I was cooking today, bro Tony took over, so I went inside to my classroom where I have Sunday school. I started praying for myself as I will be teaching tomorrow. Then I prayed for the teenagers who show up, I started to pray for them one by one. I would pray that God would take this ss lesson, & apply it to there hearts & lives. Anyway back to my blog I was interrupted. As I was praying I looked up @ a verse posted on my wall 1 JOHN 5: 14b "if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us". That word "if", very strong 2 letter word. Have we asked? Will it be His will? I want a house, but never really prayed for the money for it. Sure he can provide the house, but I don't want nothing I cannot pay for in the long run. So I want to pay off my van, & do away with some debt. I am scared of the payment, but God will guide me through it. It will be a while before I can get rid of my van payment , but I want to give my family a decent home with at least 3 bedrooms 2 bath, nothing fancy. If it comes with a garage or a shop that would be awesome. So please pray so He can hear me, or one of us.

Why

Why should I serve Jesus? Why should I go to church? Why should I want to tell other about Jesus? Why should I trust HIM as my saviour? Why? Why is God ding this to me? Do you know HIM? Are you HIS child? Are you ashamed? HUM. Why? You want HIS blessing right? Why should He? Will HE?

Work

Today was a good day, so many teenager @ church cutting grass, The boys cutting grass, & the girls cleaning the buildings, restrooms and all. I was trying to fix the tractor tire, someone ran it flat. It was just dirt on the rim so the tire wouldn't sit right on it. Bro Zeke took it to a tire shop, & got it fixed. Bro Carlos Cantu was weed eating, so was Johnny & I. Bro Tony & Sis Eva brought an army of teenagers, wow, really wow lots of kids. Sis Kim & my wife were cleaning also. Sis Lucy was on refreshments good job Lucy, way to keep us hydrated. Me & Tony went to to put gas on the church bus, just to see how it was running, it runs good. Now tonight they want to cook out, bring your meats, & drinks. Know your cuts of meats. I have to finish cutting the grass in the backyard it is a jungle, Just came in to cool off for a little bit.

Big Brother

Last night J called called to tell me his mother was home from Washington & what was for dinner. Praise God. He was talking to me on the phone on his way to Wendy's or something, then he tells me "oh No, I'm going to get a ticket". I told him "Why man r u getting pulled over or what?". He said," no I just passed the BB light, but it didn't flash". So he might get a picture in the mail. Then @ work today some lady got her ticket, it was a real nice detailed pic. It shows her car about to turn right on red, but there is a yellow truck actually passing the light. So she is going to fight the ticket. It has her car, licence plate zoomed in, & time, it is a really nice pic in color too. he he. So watch out BB is watching you.

Where r the men?

This Saturday we went on visitation, & I was upset because there weren't any men there. I walked to the preachers' office to walk it off, and started to pray. The Lord convicted me, so I worked with the next generation. (Amen.) My boys, the preachers boys & my nephew, Toby, were there. I know some men have to work or do have a legitimate excuse, but those that don't go, shame on you. What could be more important than telling people about Jesus? Tell me. Well anyway, that's another blog. The boys did really good, I felt like a hen watching over the chicks. I told the boys to behave before we got off the car. I Told them to remember they represent the church, & most importantly they represent God. Visitation went good, I talked to some people, some sounded interested, but you know how that goes, they don't show up. Don't let that stop you though from visiting. My boys did a good job, I was so proud of them, when I say my boys I mean all of the boys of Grace. They are not ashamed of the Gospel, they are excited to pass out John & Romans. (Amen.) I thank all of you that participate in visitation, Lord will Bless our church for it.

Some Day

Today was a good day in church & also the fellowship afterwards at Jasons' Deli. When we left,I followed J, because he had no wipers. He didn't ask me to , but I did anyway. When we were on the freeway I was trying to catch up with him. He was in his vette, & I was in my Chevy prizm 4 cylinder, I wonder why I couldn't catch up to him. Then it starts to rain. Now my exit is coming up, but I don't see J, I know he is in front of me, so I am going to miss my exit, it starts raining, @ that very moment a cop gets on the freeway with its lights on going pretty fast. Oh by the way, there was an accident on the south bound side, the cop was probably going to close off the exits. He was flying in front of us, then all of a sudden he starts to hydroplane out of control, starts spinning, he tries to correct it, but it was too late. He hits the median concrete barrier with the front of the car. Might I add, that the hammer lane (fast lane) was full of water, then my wife is calling it in, and they are telling her there is someone @ the site already, and my wife gets louder starts telling their dispatcher that it just happened in front of her eyes "right now". The dispatch thinks it is the same accident that was on the opposite side. I get out to see if the officer is alright , He asks me if I got hit, I told him "no". Then he said "oh you were just checking on me, thanks, I'm alright". So I get back in the car don't know where J is, my phone is @ home, I ask my wife to call J to see where he is @, but he was on Wilson Rd already near his house. He said he saw the cop in back of him so I guess the cop was between us. True story. This happened in a couple of minutes, but it seemed like a long time.
