Today I was talking with a some friends on what happened to the respect of Gods house. No respect. I remember when I first got saved, & I really didn't have to get taught how to respect Gods house, that was natural. Not nowadays, people break into churches to steal or vandalize. No fear of God whatsoever. @ my first Baptist church we would come in early Sunday morning, & there would be a broken beer bottle right on front of the steps. On the other hand buses would get vandalized, with bricks thrown through windows, Just boils my blood. I can't stand it when kids are jumping up and down on the pews. If you see my kids doing this please tell me, I will correct it right away. It is like they have gotten so comfortable in the church, that it is like any other building. Maybe I am making to much of it, I feel like I am too old fashion for some reason, but whatever. Then when the adults do it, man they prop their feet on the pew in front of them where the beloved hymnal are, putting their dirty feet on that. Hey but some kids don't know they were probably not brought up in church or the adults don't know I guess. Now eating in church, Man, while the preaching is going on , come on. OK I chew gum, but I put it away correctly not under the pew. Next time I will get mints OK. What has happened or is this normal. Preaching taking to long, I think not, if you would be listening it wouldn't seem so boring. Got that off my chest Sorry, wait I don't apologize that is how I feel. Feel Free to comment, bring it I am ready, I dare you, & if I am not too bad. Sounds anrgy don't it oh well.

Can I get a witness? LOL, you are not old-fashioned but your righteous indignation has been stirred up. Aman! Aman! I agree 110%.
@gramma thanks. I got a little fired up.
ive been guilty of having my foot on the pew. which i think you told me to have some respect. thanks for setting me straight. sometimes you just have to tell people as soon as you see them do it.
i have also been guilty of taking a drink into church, into which David gave me a nasty look.
i am glad i moved up the front of the church because its so easy to be distracted by what other people are doing by sitting behind them. fiddling around, answering phones, text messaging or whatever.
@ Sal I know I used to be a back row baptist it was to much distractions. That is why I sit in the front. I NEED the preaching, so I sit in the spitting section j/k. Need to be stepped on my toes to keep me inline.
I agree with you, but @Laura, he's just playing with you.
Well eating candy in church may not be the best thing, I know this, I was raised in a good Bible believing spirit filled baptist church. But we have to be careful not to worship the building.
