What has happened to our churches, I cant believe in the day we are today, where no one stands for the bible any more. We have come to a time where church is another place to hang out, with no convictions, do what we want, no one can tell us what is wrong, or we will leave attitude. Are we even fundamentalist anymore, what would we classify our church as today. Seems when a revival want to break out the devil really attacks, & the sad thing is he uses Gods people to be the ones to do the attacking. Sometimes even the so called saved people, that don't realize how they are hurting other in their pathway of destruction, seeing what has been allowed in our lives, everything is OK, we will just do what we want, God will forgive us attitude. We are suppose to hate the sin not the sinner, that doesn't mean we compromise, & make them feel like its OK for what they are doing, we slowly are crossing that line of compromise, & don't even think twice about it. We have become so complacent, We don't want to offend anyone, We don't want to stand for anything anymore, do as you please, Gods will take care of it, HE will not be mocked, being the so called saved in sin, or the compromiser not saying anything about it. No confrontation, Heaven forbid you confront someone about their sin, but if they get you order wrong in a restaurant, man you blow a gasket, & let them have it, a piece of your mind that is. Pastors, Preacher, Sunday School teachers, Deacons, you name it church member, their lives don't even make a difference among the lost, that is why the world is slowly taking over our churches, then you become the bad guys for saying anything, but you know what just STAND, for what is right. I know, I love you really love you in the LORD christian in sin, but i have to draw the line somewhere when your still living in sin, & have no care about, you don't care who knows it, the world knows it, but you just don't care, because you rather satisfy the flesh. Sad thing is I am seeing people who I thought would stand for what is right, just let it go like if nothing is happening, you know it i know it, GOD knows its wrong, but do we even care, or do we just want to o about our business. The move of God is so real, & we just keep missing it, its like we expect God to do it, & when he does we don't even recognize HIM for it. Like the disciples asked John the baptist, " Are you the Christ or should we look for another?" Its come to the point where you have to ask about the church, are you the real thing or should we look for another/. Sad thing is where can you find another, they are like so far & few in between. People just going along with what the world thinks is holy, not what the Bible says is HOLY. I was talking to my friend last night about Uza, which also came up in my Sunday school, when they moved the Arc of the covenant, First of all they were moving it wrong, on a cart, then when it hit the threshold, it rocked a bit & Uza touched him, & the LORD killed him. Have we become like Uza, we go to church day in, & day out, have we forgotten what the church is, have we forgot, what the bible says, like Uza he got used to this Arc being in his house, in his living room, since he was small. It became like any other piece of furniture, so he had lost the respect, the reverence for it. Have we become the same way about our church, our bible, our christian walk, we do this christian thing day in day out, where has the reverence for GOD gone, we have become so used to this church its like a social gathering, "Yes Preacher, Amen Preacher," is what we shout, nod our heads with agreement, but what does our lives say, what does our prayer life say, our reading the bible time say, living like a Christian say, We have come to a time America, where the church, has not the full power of God, because we just don't care anymore, we don't give a rip about the things of GOD they have become a nuisance-1 A person, thing, or circumstance causing inconvenience or annoyance 2 An unlawful interference with the use and enjoyment of a person's land. We don't even enjoy working for GOD any more it is such a chore. We see other people living like the devil, & ask GOD why," Why God do you allow this? they are bringing such a reproach to Your Name,'" then we get even as worldly as them , & ask the LORD,"What if I do it, what if i go out in sin?", WHO YOU KIDDING CHRISTIAN, If your really a Christian you would be miserable, & if your not, your enjoying your sin, check up about your salvation, I would really check up about my salvation, about what happened that day when we claimed to be saved. Now in closing this post, I have tried to get past some thing, but Brother, Sister, when it is wrong it is WRONG. You know it, I know it, we all know it, Now that big big BIG question is what are we going to do about it, that's right, what can we do about, yes it really stinks, but all we can do is pray, & not take things into our own hands that belong to GOD to deal with, all we can do is pray, now the real questions are Have we Prayed? Or do we even care?

Been A While for Me

Haven't posted in a while, I've been so busy, lots of things going on in my life. My spiritual life has been at an all time low, due to me letting circumstances get in the way.
I struggle just as any man or woman does, i am not perfect by any means.
My best friend not being in church, my son not wanting to see me, my fiends that i thought were friends take things the wrong way, & it just gets all messy. Then of course i get in the flesh, & make things even worse, all i can do is pray, when i can get through. Revival started today at church it started great, Lord really dealt with my heart, I just had to swallow my pride, & make things right, turns out. I am the one holding out to stuff, everyone has gone past this junk , I was just dwelling on things that have no importance, or that are done with, gotten over. I want to make things right, by no means am i a compromiser, I know what I stand for, but I also know when the flesh has overtaken the situation and my eyes are so far from Christ, my Beloved. I preached on being religious this morning, I preached more to myself this morning in Sunday School. I just really want to serve God, but my flesh is always in the way, trials come, & i sink with them, I have gotten my eyes on other people instead of the Giants in suppose to be fighting. I have to be more of a testimony, I am excited of what GOD is going to do, but at the same time stand guard for the attacks. I love my teens, I pray to GOD i can have some kind of a good effect in their christian walk in their lives, Keep me in your prayer for the Lords will, i really need it. Just Rambling on,

Heart Broken

Today about 10PM, after coming back from fellowship from Texas Roadhouse, as my wife , & I were talking she got a text from her sis in law. She was asking if it was alright if Averie could call me because she was crying for me. You see my little niece has been in my life for a while it gets complicated at times, but I have learned to love her as my own. I just didn't realize how much I loved that little girl.

We have this bond when we see each other for some reason we put each others hands on each others face, I see how big my hand is against her little face, it makes me just want to squeeze her. She puts her hand against my big face, she can only cover my nose only. Then she just smiles. You see God hasn't given us a little girl, i say because God doesn't give us what we cant handle. See at times I was the threat, she would get, I would be the one they would say, "if you don't behave I will tell Tio Juan". She had a fear for me that turned into love, i have never laid hands on this little girl, but she was always afraid if i would someday. I think it would break my heart if I did.

Well she has moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to be with her dad, which is wonderful, she has her family. I just didn't know how much it would break my heart, or miss her so much, as I type, there is this huge knot in my throat. Well she call me, & i answer the phone thinking i can be tough Tio Juan, but this little voice on the other end is going hysterical saying ,"I love you Tio Juan, I love you." It just melted my heart away, i start crying, not wanting my boys to see my like this, I stay outside, I keep telling her I love her, she tells me she misses me, she misses her Tia DeeDee, she misses Johnny, misses Mikey, she misses David. I just keep crying trying to not let her notice I am crying,"Just keep telling her you love her," i tell myself. Well we hang up I walk a little bit around out side with this huge knot in my throat, then i make my way inside. I sit on the couch looking at the ceiling, my wife asks if I'm alright, I tell her, "She's gonna forget me".

I try to keep myself from breaking down, then my wife tells me she is gonna call me again, because I told her she could call me whenever she wanted too. So she calls again, all crying, so I start crying this time just like her I couldn't stop, She starts telling me she loves us all, she starts naming one by one. She also tells me If I could got to Oklahoma to go see her, I mean how can I tell her no. So I promised her I would go see her, she is also telling me she will behave at school, so I can go see her. She is telling me we will have lots of fun, I am just balling by know, i didn't care who heard me I just told her I loved her. I started thinking, man I am heart broken, I love this little girl, & I can't have her or see her anymore, but I WILL pray for her, I feel I lost her, & crazy thing is she is not even my daughter. I can't handle little girls breaking my heart, as tough as I want to be around them, I think they know they melt my heart, I love all my nieces.

After we hung up I just had to come , & blog, because maybe someday when she gets older, & she has forgotten me, she can read this, & know how much her Tio Juan loves her, and how close we were.

ACTS CHAPTER 3 VS 1- 5

Now this was after Pentecost, so cool I feel we were at Pentecost this past week.

Verse 1- Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. = Peter & John were together, Gods people need to be together, come together to church. The Ninth hour 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
Verse 2- And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple. = this crippled man was carried to the gate of the church, they knew where he could get help. He was begging from the Christians.
verse 3 - Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. = He saw Peter & John he recognized them, alms= mercy or pity, he begged.
verse 4 - And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John said, Look on us. = Peter making eye contact, not ignoring him.
verse 5 - And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. = He payed attention to them, he might have even gotten a hold of their clothing as he is listening.

Peter & John went into the temple to pray in the afternoon at 3 o'clock, & saw a lame beggar. In the years past, handicap people often became beggars. The lame man had probably heard about Jesus' miracles, for in a visit to Jerusalem, Jesus healed a man blind from birth (Mark 10:51), which may have planted a seed of hope in the beggars heart.

Smote in the Heart

Today after work I went to fuel up the big truck I use for work, I was in a hurry due to my little David had a t-ball game. After I finished fueling of course the machine says the cashier has receipt. Grrr, there i go inside to get a receipt, when I am in line, there is this young man, buying a lot of munchies, junk food. Of course i start thinking inside myself, as I stare at the back of his head with tattoos, his side burns are also tattoos. I am thinking to myself this guy will never be a working part of society. I started thinking next thing you know he is going to pay with his Lone-Star Card, the food stamp card. When he surely does bust out the card to pay, when all of a sudden the Holy Ghost convicted me of being so critical, we sometimes are so critical aren't we, or maybe its just me.

Holy Spirit smote my heart so bad I got all teary eyed. If my brother in law would have been so critical I wouldn't have gotten saved. I needed compassion, Holy Spirit was putting in my heart to give him a tract, but I didn't have one, so that really broke my heart so bad, I got my receipt. Went to my truck as fast as I could, when I got on tears were coming down my eyes, when I cried to Jesus to take that critical spirit away from me, Forgive ME I cried today, I asked Lord to give me some more compassion for the lost. I cried out for forgiveness, I will have to answer for that young man one day, his blood will be on my hands. I fail, I fall so short, I Know Jesus forgives, so i thought i would share, & ask for prayer for more compassion in my heart

Just Me

Last night as I was just wondering about me, Who am I? was the question in my head. As revival fire is breaking out in the valley, getting a touch of God. I was," Like man I am rubbing elbows with great men of God", like so many times before, but Who Am I? As I was leaving the meeting with things, Ideas, conviction, eye openers, on my mind. I got home talked alone to my beautiful wife, just talked you know, hadn't done that in a while, you know just really talked. I was seeing the people around me at the meeting, that was my mistake looking at people. I would ask the Lord to help me within, and HE did. Seeing people acting the way they act in front of people, I just laid back just being myself, just spying out the crowd. Enjoying what a work God has done, remembering the places I used to be in, now I'm in the house of God most of the time Praise His Holy name. I have watched my pastor, & how he handles things, I think to myself how in the world does he do that, I have a great man of God leading me, & I can learn alot from him. I may not be the most loud one at the meetings, I may not be the one who everyone knows, that's just me. For most of my Christian life I have been the behind the scene kind of guy, & I like it. I don't want to hog up the man of God, I want to soak in everything he says, but I want other people to enjoy the same fellowship I can. I can see people hanging out with people that are not helping them in their Christian walk, but what can I do just sit back & let it happen, No Way, like Bro. Harrison said an Intercessor, Intercede on the behalf of others. Pray for them, I am by no means perfect so if you can't find anyone to pray for, pray for me, I fall so short of the Glory. Like I said rubbing elbows with great men of God, but yet still think nothing of themselves, so humble, so down to earth, yet so heavenly. Just think of themselves as a nobody.

That's when it hit me I am a nobody, so stop thinking anything else of yourself. That's who I am, That's Just me, that's they way I will be. Lord can do what HE wants with me. I started thinking of other men in the church house, that could use some encouragement, so that is what I will do LORD encourage the brethren to go on. Tonight might be the last night of revival so I don't want to quench any part of it. That's Just Me, that's who I am, patiently waiting as God molds me into the man of God I need to be. I have made plenty of mistakes, & I'm not going to lie I will make more that's Just Me.

My testimony, no compromise, Compassion yes, some rebuke, what to do.

Can they see Christ in you.

I take being called a liberal, but does it get to you.
If you only knew, When I stand up for Christ.
I take being called legalistic, God Squad. Most Liberals use that term.
If you only knew, How I wish you would serve HIM.
But I am no Holy Spirit to your free will.
If you only knew, How I pray for you?
Would you tell me to stop, or keep going.
If you only knew, I only wish to be a blessing.
To help in whatever I can.
If you only knew, How I desire to grow in the LORD.
I need all the schooling I can get.
If you only knew, I get my hands in whatever I can.
Because someday may come when I could use that experience.

Questions you should ask Yourself?

Perhaps we should ask ourselves some question about our Christian walk.

If I know Jesus do I show it?
Would it be hard for me to prove to other that I know Jesus?
Do I ever read the Bible God's Holy Word when I'm not in church?
Do I ever thank my Lord Jesus for saving my soul?
Do I only pray when I am in trouble?

If there is no evidence that I know God, or that I love God's people, I may need to examine my relationship with God.

Fishing or Church?

A christian was asked by a friend to go fishing with him on Sunday. This man answered, " I am unable to go on Sunday it is the Lords day; I go to church. But I would love to go with you any other day, but not Sunday."

His friend asked him another question, "Do you really go to church every Sunday?"

This Christian answered, " Yes I sure do, every Sunday, as a matter of fact I also go Sunday night, and Wednesday night also. You see these people at my church are like my family. I love them, I want to be with them. They mean a lot to me."

The new converts in Jerusalem were like that, they loved God, & Gods people, & loved to be around them. This was a wonderful part of being a Christian. When other see, when the world sees God's people happy, joyful, & excited, this often whets their appetite for Jesus. It would be hard to prove that you & I love God's people, if we have any excuse to stay away from the one place where God's people are. And that is of course AT CHURCH.

Acts 2 : Vs 44 - 46 Love for God's People SS 01/31/10

Vs 44 And all the believed were together, and had all things common;, Vs 45 And sold their their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

Believers were so knit together, they "had all things common." Can that be said about you or your church have all things common, everyone gets along. First of all it says all that believed were together, do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, Have you trusted HIM as your personal Saviour? Has there been a time in your life when you saw yourself as a sinner on your way to Hell. If you cant remember that conviction you need to check up, If you cant remember the Holy Ghost having conviction on you, then check up. There has to be a point in your life, when you believed Jesus is the Son of God that, Jesus is God. He went to Calvary for you and I, have you believed.

Believers were so knit together, they "had all things common." They sold their possessions and gave the money to those in need. They sold their belonging, & their properties or lands that they had, & divided among the bretheren those that had a need.Their giving was testimony to God's love. For their sharing possessions was voluntary, not compulsory. No one was forced, or pressured to give.

Verse 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, & breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, verse 47 Praising God, & having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Daily, the believers met, going to the Temple they were at church everyday, during revival meetings, missions conference, where are you believer , sharing meals, always having fellowships. We baptist like to fellowship alot, not party, fellowship. Do you get along with all the bretheren show Gods Love. Sharing meals from house to house, enjoying fellowship, and praising God. When was the last time you praised HIM? Everyone saw how happy, and joyful they were, which gave them favor with those not in church. We need to be happy about our salvation about being in church, if we are not happy about those things why would the lost want to come to church. This gave them opportunities to witness. We always have opportunities to witness, Question is do we do it?. The result for the believers doing this, the LORD added daily to the church, those that were saved, we have failed miserably. When was the last time we invited someone to church, some one we know, Why don't we want them to get saved, have we stopped praying. Have we ever wept for a soul, poured out our heart to God?

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law happy is he. I am sure our pastor has a vision of where our church is going, & where he wants it to be. What is your vision do you see yourself in church for a season of for a lifetime. What vision do you see you life at? So read Proverbs 29: 15-25

" Leadership is important. A church with good leadership begins new ministries, & promotes individual growth. However, a church with poor leadership eventually diminishes & possibly even closes its doors.
The loss of vision doesn't sneak up on you. It's a process. The mishandling of correction is the seedbed for failure. Employers have found correction to be necessary. Employers address problems & apply necessary measures of correction to get back on track. You wouldn't be the person you are today if you hadn't been corrected. Failure begins with leniency which grows into a lack of respect for authority. When you don't allow correction you take yourself out of the watch care of what is intended to keep you safe. Man has been driven to fear man, which the Bible says is a snare. Christian parents fear correcting children because of Child Protective Services feels they know more about raising children than the Bible does. Children have a right to be protected but parents should have the right to raise their children according to biblical principle. The snare, the fear of man, destroys the home. When lawlessness exists, rebellion will set in & doom is certain.
Where there is no vision there is idleness. You no longer move forward & the world will pass you by. Where there is no vision the people perish. Have you stripped yourself of God's armor & blessing, exposing yourself to the fierce attacks of Satan? Be careful how you handle your correction. Odem

Went to Odem, TX this weekend, had a blast. First I left to pick up my boy Johnny from school, while I was waiting to pick him up, I asked the lady there if a noncustodial parent would be able to receive my sons report card, she told me yes which was so great. I saw my son walking to me, & he actually smiled. Came home picked up the family then left, got to Odem about 6pm. We had a great fellowship, with the Yanez family also with the Laccardis (i pronounce it Lashardi). Well we stayed up till like 2 am, then got up for visitation by 10am, I got to go with Bro. Paul Laccardi (don't even know if I'm spelling that right, he he. Man Bro. Paul is a praying man, so full of the Holy Ghost, I was ashamed of my Christianity, of where I need to be. Then they had there fall festival, i got to help out i ran a team we came in last, boo. then again we stayed up a little late again, I had to preach to the teenagers, i thought i went pretty good, We had a good sermon, holy spirit was not quenched in the services HE still showed up, Amen. Then Bro. Paul asked me if i was going to preach for him that night, he had already asked me, but i was intimidated by him, What can i preach on that he cant do better, was my thought. Well i made excuses that Johnny had to be back to go to school the next day. I was fighting all by myself on the way home. My wife asked me what the matter was, I had no peace about leaving, my heart was literally hurting. She asked if i was alright due to the fact i was going like 10 miles per hour slower than the speed limit. I mean if you know me you know how I drive. Next thing i know i was in Robstown, going under the freeway doing a u-turn on my way back to Odem, TX. I preached last night all i can say God is so good, it was all God. Then we had some fellowship at the nearest Dairy Queen, left home about 9 pm, it is a 2 hour drive to get home. Dropped Johnny of then came home, I was on fire stayed up till 1 - 1:30am reading my bible, just getting into Glory, Oh how wish you could experience the Glory HE has just for us. And that was my weekend in Odem Texas.

What's in a name?

Well this Sunday in my Sunday School the teenagers said they need a name for the youth group. So we are on a mission, & we need your help in coming up with a name for the youth group. If you could help think of a name for the group just post it on here so we can take it into review. As soon as we can come up with a name then we decide on the color for the T-Shirts. I get excited when the teens seem so interested in things that we are doing as a church group. Thanks we shall see what we can come up with, put a lot of prayer into it, & a lot of thought a lot of heart, thanks Again

Just Plain Honest

As I did my deliveries for the day on Monday I was coming from Hidalgo, TX, heading north on 10Th street towards Expressway 83, I came up to the intersection to turn to get on the freeway. As I pull up to the light I see a man with a buggy, & a sign, & this is what it read.

Sure it was funny, I said to myself, "self, this is the kind of stuff that gets forwarded on those chain emails." So of course I took out my camera phone, & took a picture. As soon as I took the picture , the man noticed, so he flicks his cigarette, & waves his hand up high as to say "Hi". No shame really, well he was honest, truth of the matter is, i wouldn't doubt it if the world gave him money to buy his beer. Just thought this picture would be blog worthy.

The Ducks

Three women die together in an accident

and go to heaven.

When they get there, St. Peter says,

'We only have one rule here in heaven:
don't step on the ducks!'

So they enter heaven, and sure enough,

there are ducks all over the place.
It is almost impossible not to step on a duck,

and although they try their best to avoid them,

the first woman accidentally steps on one.

Along comes St. Peter with the ugliest man she ever saw.

St. Peter chains them together and says,

'Your punishment for stepping on a duck is to
spend eternity chained to this ugly man!'

The next day,

the second woman steps accidentally on a duck

and along comes St. Peter,

who doesn't miss a thing.

With him is another extremely ugly man.

He chains them together

with the same admonishment as for the first woman.

The third woman has observed all this and,

not wanting to be chained
for all eternity to an ugly man, is very,

He then met this little boy dunno what his name was, but David told me that the baby wanted to play. So then I told him why he didn't play with him, he ended up telling me he didn't want to hurt him. This sign is on the way to South Padre Island, TX, this sign went up a few years ago. They went up when 911 happened a barge hit the Bridge, Causeway whatever you want to call it, this barge hit the bridge, & some people died due to the lack of a piece of the bridge. When you would come upon it, it was dark when this happened, people would just plummet to there death. The danger has always been there, but not till the bridge got hit these signs went up. A whole system went on the bridge where if there is a piece of the bridge missing it will turn the flashing lights on so you wont fall to your death. Like everything else, how many times have we passed through here with no care about it, we seemed to forget what happened, until we see these light up then you will remember. Likewise we see signs of Jesus talking to us, what do we do about it. Does HE have to turn those lights on in your life to remember what HE did for you, or have you forgotten. The danger of you going to hell has always been there, the danger of not serving Jesus has always been there, do we have to wait on God to get our attention. HE loves you HE died for you, How have you thanked HIM today, Love is an action, you show it. How have you Loved Jesus today? Will you be in your place when the doors of the house of God are open or where will you be?
HE is waiting your lights have been turned on they are flashing, Danger, Danger, Christianity is in Danger friend, Your Christianity is in Danger. Well I am in charge sort of, of making a Fall Festival for our church so if you could pray if the LORD will burden you heart for some donations of any sort it will be greatly appreciated. We are making this festival the 24Th of October, so if you can help please do so, some times i feel overwhelmed, but I know HE is able to help, guide, & provide. Here is what is on my list.

Ducks (not real ducks) for Duck Pond, Dunno where to get them.

A pond which i will use a kiddie pool of some sort if you have one great if not the church will have to buy one.

Dixie cups for taste testing the chili for The Men's Chili Contest all men please participate even the teens. Your participation is greatly appreciated

Bean Bags (3) for the Bean bag toss i will have to build something so they can toss it at.

Darts (6) for the dart throwing booth.

Balloons for the dart throwing booth.

Softballs (3) for the softball toss.

Footballs (2) for football toss booth.

Plywood's, also 2 x4's to build the booth.

Sacks (2) for sack race.

ribbons 2 of each 1st, 2ND, & 3rd place for the chili contest & the bake a cake contest for the ladies.

They have to beg people passing by to bail them out whatever someone paid to get you in (in tickets) that is how many tickets you have to beg for, he he.

Each person involved will have to bring candy for there booths to give out to the kiddos.

Whatever we cant supply the church will buy. We are not doing this for money no money will be involved in this. Just good fun I am thinking of taking my round Weber grill & taking the legs off to have like a camp fire to make some SMORES. We will have a Scavenger hunt at 4PM this will kick start the festival. Today after some great fellowship after church, we went to Denny's for dinner. Well as we were leaving Mike & I were talking about his skateboard, & I told him to throw it in the back of the truck not in the truck, so he does that. Then he tries to get into the truck when David was on that side, because he fell in the parking lot, so I got mad at him, & send him to the truck. Well Mike decides to go around the truck to the other side, & me not knowing he went around the other side, I just heard a door close so I thought he was in, so I take off, LOL. Then I hear David say, "What about Mike?", I pay no attention to him, then again David says, "What about Mike?, then I hear my wife say something about Mike, then I look in the mirror, & I see Mike with his hands in the air like, hey you forgot me, LOL. It was so funny we laughed all the way home, & then some. Thanks for the laughs Mike, & me for forgetting my son, LOL., Thank Jesus I didn't run over him though.

As the Lord Jesus has allowed me to do a study on Joshua, it has been fun. I have always has a interest in Joshua's life, just the fact that he was Moses right hand man I would love to be that for my pastor or any preacher or missionary if I could be of any help to anyone I will do it. I have been doing this study for 2 Sundays already,& it has been going great, the kids are interested well at least seem like it. I told them this past Sunday I wish I could have 2 hours to teach, & with teaching comes a bit of preaching so it is all good. Joshua was the assistant,& successor of Moses. Joshua means, "Jehovah is Salvation". Jehovah is the name of God most frequently used in the Hebrew scriptures. Joshua's original name was Oshea found in numbers 13:8 Of the tribe of Ephraim , Oshea son of Nun. Joshua's father was Nun who was the son of Elishama who was the head of the tribe of Ephraim. The name Nun means fish, so I guess Nun would be a better name than fish. Joshua in battle, in the bible Joshua is first mentioned as the victorious commander of the Isrealites in their battle against the Amelikites at Rephidim. In Exodus 17: 8-13 Then came Amelek, and fought with Isreal in Rephidim. 9. And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. 10. So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went to the top pf the hill.. 11. and it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let his hand down, Amalek prevailed. 12. But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands the one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. 13. Well I got in a accident last month it was a bad month, but Jesus is in control. I had just finished paying a ticket when I left from the sheriff office, 1 block. I tried to jump into my lane thinking there was a middle lane, but no it was under construction. I tried to back up, but there was traffic in back of me that wouldn't back off. Slow lane traffic came to a stop , but not on the fast lane a school bus, hit me. It was my fault i was impeding traffic. But that is over with now, Thank you Jesus.

It started to rain after i crashed, man did it start to rain so much that day, just for Little bit though. The Storm just passed by. Amen

Wrecker dropped it off right in my drive way where i park my truck, the wrecker was cheap though I thank Jesus for that also. We use this wrecker company to pick up customers cars they gave me a ridiculous low price, but then the boss called & told me to put it on the company tab. I would later pay them in payment which i am still doing about 20 bucks a week.

So I went to see what he was talking about, but then he showed me his skateboard it was all beat up already. So today I bought him the board only because they are really expensive, so I took off all the trucks & wheels from this board then put it on the new board, which he picked, which is plain red, with red grip paper on it, Red on Red. He was so I enjoy buying them stuff that they will really use. My baby boy is getting so big, he is a teenager now.

Last night was a rough night, I didn’t get much sleep, the Lord woke me up & didn’t let me sleep, saying, “Psst I want you to talk to me, haven’t heard from you today”. So I got up walked around, praying for a while, just the LORD & I, such sweet fellowship, Amen. After an hour or so I went to bed, started to dream a little dream of being in Mexico. In the ranch where my father grew up, we used to go there every weekend it was no doubt we would be there every Friday afternoon till Sunday night. Well, but this time I was the father in the situation. I here David in background in a faint voice as if he was far away, “Daddy” I stay quiet to hear again, then I hear him again, “Daddy”. So I go to where he is laying down on the floor. You see in Mexico there were never enough beds for us all so we had to sleep on the floor. I walk over to where he is at he then tells me, “There is some one outside”, I tell him, “OK baby daddy will check it out, go back to sleep”, “OK Daddy” he says. As I look out the windows like I do in real life, I call it doing my rounds, I look, but I see nothing. So as I lay down back to bed Dee Dee hugs me. I hear something that makes me open my eyes (still dreaming) I am not sure of what I heard but I look around trying to hear something, anything, All of a sudden I see a shadow move across the curtains, mind you we are in Mexico so the windows are open with a slight breeze moving the curtains. I hear the faint cry again “Daddy”, just a little louder this time. So I jump out of the bed, looking around for something to club in my hand, but I find nothing. I look out the window; the windows have burglar bars, so I wasn’t worried about someone coming into the house made out of cinder block, no walls inside just sheets hung up from pillar to pillar dividing the rooms. I finally see it is neighbor coming home from town, in the middle of the night, you see the buss doesn’t pass through this little town that much, & when it does the hours are very far between. I ask him in Spanish of course what he was doing, he tells me he missed the 10 o clock bus so he had to wait for the 2am bus ride. I told him he was scaring people at that hour, jokingly of course. Then we said our good nights then back to bed, then I hear, “daddy”. I wake up in real life now, look around actually do my rounds, but first go check on the boys, but they are sound asleep. Then I put my head down it is actually 2am now, I start to doze off, I fall back asleep. Now I start to dream another little dream, yet they seem so real, I thought I would right about them before I forget, I had already forgot about it this morning. This time I was in my truck going down the highway, doing the speed limit of course, I am learning to behave now. As I am driving, J is in the passenger seat holding on to the “Oh No Bar” on the dash. It is a curve handle sticking out fro the dash that you hold onto when you get on the truck, but if you see J when he rides with me he is always holding on I guess because I drive too fast. Then I look back in the back seat I see Michael playing his PSP.Don't know where we are going just driving when I feel the truck shake, I am looking around, & I see dust all around the wind starts to pick up. I keep driving pretty soon the truck is like not moving, I look at J, then look at Mike, when all of a sudden the truck flips, turns out we were in a tornado, the truck flip, windows break. There is glass shattering all over the place, little cube shaped glass from the rear window. We stop sliding, I start to look around for Mike he wasn't wearing a seat belt, so I undo my seat beat so does J, then I get out of the truck I don't even wait for J, I am yelling out for Mike, but where is he, my heart is racing, looking for him. Then I wake up for real again, I do my rounds again this time it is about 4 am. I go to the boys room again, to check on them I give them a kiss as they sleep, & when I go back to bed I look at the clock, & think man I have to get up in about an hour. So that is how my day started to day, but to my surprise I wasn't tired all day.

The other day I had one of those blank moments, where you brain goes blank, & can’t remember what was going on. Well I was watching T.V. during my lunch hour when I went home, & this lady was in a commercial, this actress. Then I couldn’t remember her name, it was bugging me that I couldn’t remember her name so I kept thinking on the movies she came out in. Not really important, but I just wanted to know, to remember. Kept thinking about how I should be more passionate about remembering real people in the bible, instead of Hollywood. Anyway it was a commercial for Activia, I think it’s a laxative or something she said it would keep you regular, hehe. Anyhow, I tried to remember what else she came out in, but I think she used to do scary movies when I was a lot younger, because she was making older people commercials. So I left it alone. Then at night about 1 or 2 am, Her name came to my head, “Jamie Lee Curtis”, I said it out loud, scared my wife, she was asleep. LOL, I thought it was funny, just said her name like that, it was all quite when all of a sudden I said her name, LOL. Just thought I would share a funny moment I had this Tuesday night.

Alamo Meeting Wednesday Night

Well we had a time also today, we show up to church all ready to hear from God, Lords house was packed looked pretty cool. We sat upfront singing going on , & then the preaching which was awesome Lord Jesus really dealt with my heart tonight. Well turns out Sis Eva got it settled today at the alter, & made a profession of faith, she got in she got saved she was sobbing, really under conviction Lord got a hold of her heart. Then it turn out her daughter was under conviction also she ended getting saved same story all crying under conviction, I can just hear Bro. Sammy Allen saying "Under Conviction Friend". Amen God is so good. Singing went on as usual, but when Sis. Kim & Laura went up there, man o man did Glory come down, there was shouting, joy all over the house tonight it was the last night Bro. Setzer would be there.

J' s friends from work showed up from his work, amen that is all it take too invite someone, you never know how God will end up saving them if they keep coming, all they need to be there 1 time God can get a hold of their hearts. Not just anyone invites people to church so that is a good thing J is doing Lord is using him, Lord even used Adri to bring the lady's to church , So good Amen, so much Joy.

Missionaries all over the place tonight, there was about 6 or 7 missionary families there tonight. Then of course we headed out to Wallbangers for some fellowship, sweet sweet fellowship, that I long for. We end up saying good by at Wallbangers a lot to the missionaries, preacher at this restaurant. We should just have services there, Amen. Said our goodbyes hugging people feeling so loved, & really mean it when I say I will miss them.

On the way back we just glean on the things God did this night, how good he is to us, how he died for us. Realize settle in , & then it starts to set in the reality of the Love Jesus has for us. Let that soak in He Loves you, He died for you, He want you to live for HIM, He Died for you wont you live for HIM.

Meeting in Alamo, TX

Well Last night we had time, I mean a real good time, well it was for me. J & I headed out to church service last night to a revival meeting at Corner Stone Baptist Church in Alamo, TX. Before I left I got to praying for revival inside of me, to start with me, for the message to be for me, I was being selfish, but then I prayed for the meeting in general. So as I am waiting for digiSal to come by my house, he never showed up, meeting starts at 7PM, so it takes about 20 minutes or so to get over there from Harlingen, TX. So I decide to call him his voicemail picks up, so I figured he must be in the shower, so I leave to go put gas at H-E-B so I can pay for the carwash also, just to rinse off my truck because it looked like a ranchers truck just full off dirt you couldn’t even see the color black anymore it was color dirt. Well I am taking for ever because there is one person in front of me, but I get it done as I am headed out to J’s house he calls me to ask where I’m at I told him right down the street, as I pull into his street I see him, I get reminded of my fog lights to be on, so I turn them on. We leave we have a good chit chat talk on the way over there, it is really important to be in that good spirit of revival you have to want it. We get there right as they are shaking hands which was perfect, we sat down with Bro. Bob Hawk missionary to México, in Durango he said it is about 600 miles into México. Bro. Bob Hawks’ son in law Bro. Arnold Woodard was our interim pastor at Grace Baptist Church, in Harlingen, TX when we were looking for someone to fill in the pastor position. We grew to love him & his family, & his preaching, well Bro. Woodard is going to move to México to help Bro. Bob Hawk in his ministry down there, our Pastor Bro. Mark Laiklam, from the Tar Heel state, North Carolina invited him to preach at our church whenever he is in Harlingen, he also told him to tell Bro. Woodard to stop by also to preach, its going to be good. Well the service starts with singing I can honestly say I don’t remember how many people sang different song then the Spanish choir also sang it was beautiful kept thinking to myself I need this to get closer to Jesus, I need it I love it, & it was just the singing service that got it going for me. Then the preaching of Bro. Robert Seltzer from North Carolina he is also my pastors pastor. We were at Bro. Roy Dale Kincaid’s church which is our pastors' father in law, so cool to be in the LORDS will. Well the preaching on Galatians 5 but when he got to a verse from Romans which really worked on my heart last night. Man I needed to be at that alter so bad. I have gotten my eyes off Jesus so bad, I had become bitter, when bitterness gets s hold of you Christian it is not pretty. I beg for your prayer on that for me. Service went on them some more singing & singing, it was like I didn’t want it to end, IMAGINE how we will be in heaven when it don’t stop, the praising & worship. But like the preacher said we will be judged by what we do here on Earth as a Christian as we tarry for the Lord Jesus to come back. The service finished we (men) were outside, talking of course, waiting on the women, hehe. When all of a sudden this man walks into our circle as we are talking, with his hands in the air he says he needs Jesus, you could tell he was drunk, but I am so glad Bro. Bob Hawk was there to lead him to Christ Jesus. This man sobered up when Bro. Bob told him God is not to made fun of. This man got down on his needs crying & rejoicing as he left wiping away his tears. At that time as we got down our knees to pray no one came out of the church, no one quenched the spirit, God just gave liberty for another soul to be saved, Amen. I originally thought this man wanted money, but we can’t push people away when they are searching for Christ, searching for help, even if they are drunk, Salvation is of the Lord, you just do your part, he said he would be in church today so lets meet him out there today. Let’s keep him in our prayers. His salvation s between God & him, but you know it felt good to see someone come to repentance like that so humble, sometimes we need to be humble, to come before the throne of Mercy, just humbly bow those knees, who cares what people think you just mind Jesus, & everything will be alright. Then we leave to fellowship at Whataburger in Weslaco, TX by then it is about 9:45 pm. We fellowship, of course I am taking pictures like crazy. I was thinking of Sis. Kelly Greene as I take pictures of her family, & how she would be able to see what is going on down here in the Rio Grande Valley with her family. There we are sitting at Whataburger surrounded by preachers, by missionaries, Christian Brothers & sisters we filled up the entire restaurant. I love fellowship, especially when the preachers & missionaries start telling stories of their ministries it is such a blessing. Then the occasional question to each other,” Do you know So & So?”, then they take off from there rejoicing with each others company in the faith of knowing someone they know. Fellowship continued till about 11:30 pm for us when I told J if he was ready. Oh yeah he broke his phone that is why he was running late as I picked him up, but I was running late also. Then I got home about 11:40pm, by the time I went to bed it was well over midnight which I go to bed anyway might as well be at church right, but I got up, came to work, & was so spiritually refreshed wanting so much more. Won’t you make your heart available to Christ; let him fill you with the Spirit, Amen. Till next time, Hang in there Christian HE is on the way, HE is the only way. Amen Glory to God

This year David is a Longhorn, or Hoglorns as he calls them, he did realy good againt an "I am twelve", team. That is what we call a team that is much older than them it was a good game, they lost by 2 I think. He did really good he brought the kids that were on base everytime he went to bat. 1 time he brought in 3 runs, another time he brought in all 4 bases were loaded & he made a home run, he was all smiling as he ran back to the dug out. He will be having a game this Monday at 8 at Victor Park see you there, hehe.

Here is D, helping us out to get that last spark plug in the back, I needed some midget fingers, mine are to huge to fit back there, he he. We always end up working on m,y cars or Johns cars when we get together up there. But I dropped the second or 3rd spark plug so my truck has a sputter I thought it was a bad batch of gas from Louisiana, but it wasn't. I have to replace one of those spark plugs by the way they are A/C Delcos if anyone is interested or even knows what that is, they are dealership items. I think when I dropped it it either cracked or got out of gap, they already come pre gapped. And tes those are craftman tools,, they say yay we are gonna get used, hehe.

I wanted to eat something that I could go back home & say I ate something Cajun. So Nana & I went out on a date, he he, just alone time with Nana I consider her like my daughter we had a serious long talk about life an all pretty good talk might I add. So we went to Big Daddy's restaurant had me some Gator on a stick it had some onion between each piece of meat.. As you can see the before & after shots. I have this bug of going to eat something different, seeing to much Travel Channel. Gator has the texture of shrimp or lobster at first but as you eat it it dissolves as fish, pretty good may I add.
